PEEK (Poly Ether Ether-Ketone)
PEEK is a high-performance engineering thermoplastic that can withstand extreme temperatures and chemical wear without losing fundamental characteristics of its physical properties. It is an amazing material for a broad range of uses where chemical, combustion and thermal attributes are basic for execution.
Properties
Excels in high-temperature environs while maintaining high mechanical properties
Has nearly the chemical and heat resistance of PTFE but is structurally strong and abrasion resistant
Unaffected by continuous steam exposure and does not leach. It is flame retardant and has continuous service temperature of 480°F
• Good resistance to gamma radiation
Used in:
Liquid chromatography
Seal rings
Medical industry
Semi-conductor industry
Pump and valve components
• Carries a V-O flammability rating and exhibits low smoke and toxic gas emission when exposed to flame.
